Re: SBS SP1 and Exchange SP2

Hi Bob,

I have seen no such stories at all. There is absolutely no problem applying
SBS 2003 SP1 if Exchange SP2 has been installed. Meaning, Exchange SP2 is
NOT the problem if SBS 2003 SP1 is failing.

Hi Marina,

I know its not an issue to apply exchange SP2 on SBS, the issue that I was
concerned with was applying SBS SP1 after Exchange SP2 has been applied. I
have seen numerous horror story posts about things blowing up after the
SBS
SP1 was installed and was hoping not to become a victim of one of those
"unexpected results"

Thanks
Bob

Hi Bob,

There is no need for a KB. You can apply SP2 to SBS 2003 with and
without
SBS SP1 without any problem.

Thanks Frank, hopefully MS will come out with a KB article addressing
this
particular situation.

Have you done this on more than one unit without ill effects ? All
the
info
that I have seen so far from microsoft only says that you need SP1
and
should
avoid installing SP2 before the SBS SP1. If SP2 is already
installed
it
seems
that you are kinda stuck with a proceed at your own risk scenario.

Thanks
Bob

Can SBS 2003 SP1 be safely installed on machines that have
already
had
Exchange 2003 SP2 applied ?
