So a user has made more calendars in their Mailbox.
Why?
We are trying to move
them to the Public Folders so that others may view them
The error comes up,
"Can't move the items. Items cannot be created in the root of Public
Folders.
You'd need to create a folder in there to put these in as subfolders - you
need permission to create top-level folders. And even if you really need to
use these multiple calendars, you'd probably want them as subfolders of
another folder anyway. And you would probably need to create public
calendars and then copy/paste data from the mailbox to the PF folders.
We can share their root calendar no problem by clicking on "share my
calendar" and adding a name from AD. But how can we share the other
calendars that they have made for themselves?
By right-clicking on them and choosing sharing, same as any other folder in
the mailbox. However, other users will not be able to find it unless it's
her default calendar, I believe.
For example, Becky has her default calendar that opens when you click on
"calendar" and she can click on "share my calendar" and it shares and
other people can click on "open a shared calendar" and they can find it.
We can't really do that with the other one's she makes in her own folders.
any suggestions?
Find out what the ultimate goal is, why she wants to do it this way, and
post back so we can take a whack at this.
Thanks.
Bryce.
