Hi Maxibo,.
We are unable to logon to the PC at all - whether on the network or not, have tried the domain admin account etc to no avail.
Thanks,

Hi Simon
Delete, reinstall network card, faulty nic?, turn off autosense on nic and put it to 100 full?
Can any other user logon to this rogue machine?

Hi,
I have a client with a small sbs2003 network about 2 months old. Yesterday morning one of the users was unable to login to the domain, or even locally, but this somehow fixed itself. I noticed at the time that I was unable to view the event logs on that computer - access denied message (another thread is open on that)
Before I had got the chance to get them to try the suggestions for the original problem we ran into the logon issue again today. Now we are unable to login to the machine at all. The event log on the server only shows the error message from the first attempt this morning:
Error 5722 "The session setup from the computer DAVE01 failed to authenticate. The name(s) of the account(s) referenced in the security database is DAVE01$. The following error occurred:
Access is denied."
The user can login fine from any other of the machines in the network so his account is fine. I have tried deleting his computer from the server and re-adding, also deleting the address lease, still with no access.
Can anyone help, we really don't want to go down the format route for the PC.
Simon.
