Not in sufficient detail for anyone to be able to help you, I'm afraid.
I must repeat my advice that you find a qualified professional to do this
work for you.

they run their own server? e

Not sure....but I'm also not sure what you're trying to do.

Note that your question is really not SBS related - and may not even
be IIS related - and would be best answered by your web
designer/host....if you don't have a professional web designer, I
suggest you look into getting one. You probably wouldn't churn your
own butter, or do your own dry-cleaning, so why try to design your
own website? I am a firm believer of the "opportunity cost" concept.

Once again many thanks - I will contact my hosting company and see
whether they can resolve this for me. Your comments will be most
helpful

You're welcome. Don't get me wrong - I very much like Exchange,
etc.... But it isn't one size fits all.

Thanks for your reply. I already have a hosting company for my
website but
I
would like to put brochure request forms and enquiry forms onto
it

And that's why you would just upload those using whatever ftp/web
design client you use, to your hosted website. Nothing to do with
running a server
of your own. And you wouldn't run a public website on your SBS
box anyway,
honestly.

as well as
use the Outlook "Out of Office" feature and I think that I need
a server
to
do these.

\That has nothing to do with webhosting at all. MS Exchange
sounds like *way* overkill for you, unless you go for an
external/outsourced Exchange account. I really don't hear
anything from you that screams "I need my own
server"..... just trying to keep you from going down the wrong
path.

I am not sure if this is the correct forum to out this
question but I have
recently set up a business and am currently using a PC with
Windows XP
Home.
I would like to do some basic things such as put "forms" on my
website
and
accessing some "Outlook" features but I seem to be unable to
do this without
a server.

I am not networked or anything like that but am looking for
some advice
as
to what I should do and particularly if it is possibly or safe
to run a
server on my PC as it is currently set up.

Any advice would be appreciated or if you could point me in
the direction
of
where I could get this advice.

Thanks in advance

Pardon my jumping in, but it sounds to me like you don't need
SBS.... www.microsoft.com/sbs explains what SBS is .

I suggest you get an external webhosting account with someone
and have your
site run from their servers.....I'm not sure what sort of
Outlook integration you're looking for, but that would be
unusual for a public website...
