Re: Issues with windows xp x64 connecting to Small Business server

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

SMB signing disabled by any chance?

We just built a great box running windows xp x64 and we are trying to connect to SBS 2003. At first we could connect, but received an error message that said something like this profile operating system is not supported. But we were connected. We used http://server/connectcomputer. I wanted to reboot to test connectivity and now I always get a message that says either the domain controller is not available or the user account was not found when we try to sign into the domain from this computer.

But when we sign on locally to the computer, we can type in http://company we and we are prompted for our user name and password which it accepts. The company web page displays properly at that point.

Are there any KBs out there that discuss this issue? I did a search but was unable to find any. Thank you, Ed Podowski
