What i am looking for is the substitute of Outlook native archiving

The substitute solution should give users the flexibility to check
his/her archived emails without getting the administrator involved.

One of my clients uses standard SMTP and IMAP servers on a machine
which was conveniently lying around. It's another place to backup,
but conversely it isn't the same box as SBS itself. Depends how
mission-critical archived email is, and whether there's a journalled
copy somewhere else if that turns out to be 'very'. If you're
journalling to optical disc, then the on-line archive is just a
convenience.
