RE: Companyweb: Access denied by access control list

Hi Brandy,

Thanks for your reply.

a. Does this issue occur in LAN?
Nope. LAN access is alright using IE and FireFox

b. Does this issue occur in any other internet computers?
If I use Broadband Internet access, bothe IE and FireFox can access.
If I use 3G Mobile Internet dialup access, ONLY FireFox can access without
issue.

c. Eventvwr
There was no error in event viewer.

I suspect my 3G connection dialup caused the problem. Any idea why?

Thanks again.
Alan

Hello Alan,

Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.

I understand that you encounter error "Forbidden - You were denied access
because: Access denied by Access Control List" when trying to access
companyweb in Internet Explorer. If I have misunderstood your concern,
please let me know.

Based on my research, the issue can be caused if you use the dialup
connection. If so, please remove the original connections and recreate a
new connection to test it. The corrupt connection may cause this problem.

I would like to confirm that the problem also occurs on the other users and
the user can access the web sites on the Internet. Please log into a user
with the administrator rights and check to see if it is related to the user
permission.

If the issue persists, please help me to gather following information:

a. Does this issue occur in LAN?
b. Does this issue occur in any other internet computers?
c. On one of the problematic client workstation, run "eventvwr" (without
quotation marks), check whether there are any errors. If yes, double click
it, click the Copy button and paste the full content to the Newsgroup.

Please take your time to perform the steps. If you have any updates, please
feel free to let me know. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,

Brandy Nee
