Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.

I understand that you encounter error "Forbidden - You were denied access
because: Access denied by Access Control List" when trying to access
companyweb in Internet Explorer. If I have misunderstood your concern,
please let me know.

Based on my research, the issue can be caused if you use the dialup
connection. If so, please remove the original connections and recreate a
new connection to test it. The corrupt connection may cause this problem.

I would like to confirm that the problem also occurs on the other users and
the user can access the web sites on the Internet. Please log into a user
with the administrator rights and check to see if it is related to the user
permission.

If the issue persists, please help me to gather following information:

a. Does this issue occur in LAN?
b. Does this issue occur in any other internet computers?
c. On one of the problematic client workstation, run "eventvwr" (without
quotation marks), check whether there are any errors. If yes, double click
it, click the Copy button and paste the full content to the Newsgroup.

Hi,

I hope somebody could enlighten me.

I have installed sbs2003 server and have enable to access companyweb
through
Internet and Intranet.

I have no problem accessing OWA, RWW and Outlook via HTTP.

When I try to access companyweb (https://domain.com:444), I got the
following error;

Forbidden
You were denied access because:
Access denied by access control list.

I never got prompt for Username and Password.

BUT if I use Firefox, I was prompt to enter Username and Password. And I
can
access my companyweb after that.

I have installed SSL cert in IE.

When I look at server's Event Viewer log under Security, there was an
entry
stating

User Name: SBSSVR$
Domain: SBS2003
Logon ID: (0x0,0xCB8F3D)
Logon Type: 3

I have cleared IE cookie and cache.

The bottom line is I cannot access companyweb with IE BUT I can access
companyweb with FireFox.

How do I solve this issue?
