RE: IMAP account from E2k3 - sent items

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi Chris,

Thanks for using the SBS newsgroup.

As you known, the behavior is by design. When items are sent by a delegate,
on behalf of another mailbox account, a copy of each item is saved in the
delegate's Sent Items folder. You can refer to the following KB artilce to
configure to save sent items to the another mailbox account's Sent Items
folder instead of the delegate's Sent Items folder.

How to save items that are sent by a delegate to a manager's Sent Items
folder in Outlook

Note: the article also applies to Outlook 2003.

Server and in Exchange Server 2003

Hope above information helps! Please let me know if you have further
question on the issue. I am happy to be of assistance to you.

Have a nice day!

i have a few mailboxes that need to be shared among a few of my exhange
users, with the following stipulations:

all incoming and outgoing mail has to be centrally stored (on the
exchange server)
anything sent using the shared mailbox has to go to the sent folder on
the shared mailbox.

each of these users already had an Exchange mailbox they use as their
default, thus, i had set up the shared mailboxes as IMAP mailboxes,
which syncs the folders just fine but when mail is sent using that
account, Outlook won't let me send the sent mail to the Sent Mail folder
on the IMAP account. is there anything other than the UniSent COM
extension that will do this?

thanks in advance,
Chris
