Check this: Is there a zone like this (root zone) - *.* ? That will prevent
DNS from working.

1. Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click DNS.
2. Expand ServerName, where ServerName is the name of the server,
click Properties and then expand Forward Lookup Zones.
3. Right-click the "." zone, and then click Delete.

I'm out of my element here, but obviously 'non-existent domain' is a
problem. I think you should call CSS before 157 hours turns into 314.

So, do you have both muellerelectric and muellerelectrical shown in your
IPCONFIG? Not sure what the significance is, but we may as well know.

no it is just muellerelectric.local

On the interfaces tab - Is the server configured to only listen on the
192.168.16.2 IP address?
Yes

On the forwarders tab, what is listed there?
Under DNS Domain- listed is All other DNS domains
in the ip address is both the DNS numbers from my ISP

From a command prompt, run nslookup - what is the result
*** Can't find server name for address 192.168.16.2: Non-existent domain
Default server: UnKnown
Address 192.168.16.2

At the nslookup prompt - type www.microsoft.com - what is the result?
Server: UnKnown
Address 192.168.16.2
DNS request timed out.
timeout was in 2 seconds
