Hi Scott,.
Thanks for using the SBS newsgroup.
From your description, I understand the issue to be: the web page can not
display first time, if refresh it, the page can be loaded properly.
Before we go further, please help me collect the following information:
1. Does the issue happen on some specific web sites or random web sites?
How about you access the web site such as www.microsoft.com,
www.google.com, www.sina.com
2. Have you installed ISA serve on the server box?
3. Please run command "ipconfig /all" (no quotation marks) respectively on
the SBS server box and one client workstation and email outputs to me. My
working mailbox: v-yanniw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
4. When the issue happens, please use the NSLookup tool to verify that DNS
entries are correctly registered in DNS and you can access the appropriate
DNS records from this workstation. Please paste the output in the newsgroup
or mail me.
For more information, please refer to the following Knowledge Base Article:
Using NSlookup.exe

Let us perform the following tests to try to resolve the issue:
I. Clean related cache to see if it helps:
1. Please run the following command to refresh the DNS cache on the server:
"ipconfig /dnsflush" (no quotation marks)
2. To clean IE cache on computer, follow the steps:
a). Launch Internet Explorer.
b). Click the Tools menu and then click the Internet Options item.
c). On the General tab, click the "Delete Files" button in the Temporary
Internet Files area.
d). Click to add a checkmark to the "Delete all offline content" item and
then click OK.
e). Click the "Settings" button in the Temporary Internet Files area.
f). Click the "View Files" button, and then remove all the files in the
"Temporary Internet Files" folder. Then close the folder.
g). Click the "View Objects" button, and then remove all the objects whose
status is "Damaged". Then close the folder.
h). Click OK twice to close the dialog boxes.
3. To clear ISA cache: url cache. You can find the file by default in:
%sysdir%\URlcache
Try to test the issue, what is the result?
II. Please check the following settings:
A. Please ensure proper binding order of the network adapter cards. The
internal network card should be at the top. The detail steps:
1. Right-click the My Network Place and click Properties to open Network
Connections page.
2. Click Advanced in the menu and click Advanced Settings in dropdown list.
3. Under the Adapters and Bindings tab page put the internal Nic at the top
in Advanced Settings page.
B. Please check DNS and Gateway settings. Please ensure the following
settings:
1. Leave the Default Gateway of the internal NIC blank of the server box.
2. Configure the internal client computer's NIC and the internal NIC of the
server box to use the internal DNS Service (the internal NIC IP) as the DNS
Server. And there is only the DNS server be configured on client computers.
C. Please ensure enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP on client computers, please
check the settings.
1. Right-click My Network Places, and then click Properties.
2. Right-click the external network adapter''s Local Area Connection icon,
and then click Properties.
3. Click Internet Protocl (TCP/IP), and then click Properties.
4. Click Advanced.
5. Click the WINS tab.
6. Please ensure check the option "Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP".
7. Click OK, click OK, and then click OK.
After check above settings and verified to see if the issue disappears.
Hope above information helps! I am happy to be of assistance to you and
look forward to your reply.
Have a nice day!
Sincerely,
Jenny Wu

I notice that intermittently when I enter an address the webpage won't
it is as if the website doesn't exist. If I refresh it, it loads. Itthe
appears as if SBS is updating the DNS entries on the fly and is slow on
first try.
Any suggestions?
