box wasn't even smart enough to run the wizard..... :-)

Some ideas:
- The service might not be running on the SBS box. Search on the error
message on the Microsoft Support web site.
- The SBS may be running a third party firewall that blocks the connection.
If there is such a firewall, try to disable it and try again.
- Someone may have cleverly changed to port number for RDP from the default
of 3389. This is a registry change. Instructions are available by searching
the Microsoft Support web site also. If this is the case and you know the
port number, you can RDP by specifying that port number after the IP address
or machine name, but the RWW screen doesn't know anything about that. Better
to reset it to default.

Hi,

I inherited a client who has SMB 2003 Standard server behind a NetGear vpn
router. Whoever setup the server didn’t have a clue what they were doing….
To
make a long story short I can’t RDP to the server (SMB2003) from any where
(inside or outside). I can’t even connect to it from the server
management.
Whenever I try I get:

The client could not connect to the remote computer. Remote connections
might not be enabled or the computer might be too busy to accept new
connections. It is also possible that network problems are preventing your
connection. Please try connecting again later. If the problem continues to
occur, contact your administrator.

OR:

Connectivity to the remote computer could not be established. Ensure that
the remote computer is on and connected to the Windows Small Business
Server
network.

I’ve ran the Internet Connection Wizard and can get to RWW pages but when
I
click on the server I get one of the above messages.

One other thing I noticed is they only have a five user license and are at
about 4 users. I have tried to gain access when no one else was connected.

Any ideas?

Thanks
