Hi Gene,.
Thanks for your update.
To narrow down the problem, would you please help me collect the following
information?
1. Does the situation occur when you upload files to other internet FTP
server from SBS and LAN client computer?
2. Does the situation occur when you connect a Lan client computer to
internet directly?
I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,

| We us a proprietary system called RDSAdvantage. It has a scheduling
module
| that contains a DOS FTP batch file routine for uploading the schedule
| calendar to a distant web site as we do not host our own open web site.
The
| batch file uses the same command line prompts that I use from the DOS
prompt.
|
| I've also tried going via IE6 with the same results - connection but no
data
| transfer. In fact the existing file on the web server is purged. The
text
| file is there with the same name but it is blank.
|
| Can not FTP from my LAN through SBS2003.
|
| Does my FTP server need to be running in order to FTP out? Mine is not
| running and I can not seem to start it. It may need re-installling.
|
| I can FTP from home into the web server using the DOS prompts with no
trouble.
