Printer spooler error code has to clear before printer will print

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

OK here is the problem.
Installed a HP 175X print server and attached a HP3800 printer to it. I
set it up as a network printer and all works fine. No problems.

Client forgets to turn on the printer one morning and trys to print a
document. Well after she turns on the printer it still does not print.
So I look at the server (remote desktop access does not show this
warning) and it has a error box that says

" Print Spooler was unable to connect to your printer. This can be
caused by your printer being turned off, the cable being unplugged or
being connected to a VPN, which will block your access to the local
network. The document will print when the printer becomes available"

So once I click the ok button the job will print. But this is the only
way it will print. If I do not click ok it will sit there in the spool.
AUGGG I cannot believe the server is not smart enough to wait for the
printer to be turned on and then process the job. Is there some way to
change this and fix it.

I have a HP jetdirect 300X print server on a hp 4100 printer and it
does not do this??? Only the HP 175X with the 3800 printer is doing
this ??

Thanks
