Hi,

Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup.

From the description, I understand the issue to be: You lost connection to
"my documents" on a workstation and you are unable to map a network drive
to the server's common files. If I have misunderstood your concerns, please
do not hesitate to let me know.

To narrow down the problem, would you please help me collect the following
information?

1. Does the situation occur when you logon on to the workstation using
domain admin or other accounts?
2. Can you access \\servername\sharefolder on that workstation?
3. Do you use local profile, domain profile or roaming profile?
4. Check the security policy of the domain controller. Open ''Domain
Controller Security policy'' in ''Administrator Tools''. Navigate to
''Local Policies''\''User Rights Assignment''. In the right panel,
double-click ''Access this computer from the network Properties''. Is
''Everyone'' or this user account in the list?
5. Create a new profile for the user on the workstation, does the situation
occur? You can do as following:

1) Open c:\Documents and Settings and then rename the file named using the
user account.
2) Restart the workstation and it will recreate a profile for the user.
3) Try to see if the issue occurs,

If the problem still occurs, please try removing the problematic computer
from Domain and then rejoin it to the domain. To do that, please perform
the following steps:

1. In client computer, right-click My Computer and then select Properties.
2. In Computer Name tab, click Change and the change the computer from
Domain to Workgroup.
3. Reboot the machine.
4. Log on as a local administrator account
5. In client computer, open IE and run http://servername/connectcomputer
6. Follow the wizard to finish.

| I run a small network of 10 workstations on SBS 2003 and on one
workstation
| have lost connection to 'my documents' also on that workstation am unable
to
| map a network drive to the server's common files.
| The login name and password for that workstation allows me to log on
| normally, but with the sole limitations described above.
| When attempting access to my documents or drive mapping, I am asked for a
| Server username and password. On entering these I am not allowed access,
| being told that 'the network folder ......../ that contains my documents
is
| not available ...
|
| If however i log on from another workstation with the same username and
| password, all is normal.
| I suspect something awry in the registry of the rogue workstation .. any
| ideas?
