sounds lioke you are on the right tra\ck making a manual entry into DNS to
cover your needs.

I see your point. To clarify: I have set up a simple webhop service
that redirects webmail.domainname.com to www.domainname.com/exchange so
the IP is the same.
So in that sense I am fully compliant with the setup of IIS. I just
want favorities, and links that point to webmail.domainname.com to do
the same thing internally as well as externally.
I guess it must be a matter of making an entry in my DNS configuration
that points a specific domainname to a specific IP address. That must
be possible, or what?
Now, if it is not possible to redirect the domain name to an internal
IP, at least it should be able to work the same way as externally.
As I wrote, today my domainnames simply do not work internally. And
that cannot be described as a feature....
