Re: Outlook Via The internet IP Address

Or specify the static IP address as the FQDN and CEICW will create a
certificate based on that name. Not pretty but it works.

Hi Luke,

You have a couple of options.

If the company owns a domain name, and it sounds like they do - you can
get another DNS record created for the static IP, such as
server.company.com, or <anything>.company.com. Or, you can use the IP
address.

When you run CEICW, you'll specify the FQDN, whether it be
<anything>.domain.com, or IP address. This creates the certificate based
on that name, and will populate the instructions for Outlook over the
Internet in your RWW. Then you have only to follow the instructions ;-).

Hi All

I have a question about configuring outlook over the internet.

I have a site that has a static IP but their domain name points to an off
site mail and web host. How can i configure Outlook Over the Internet
(RPC
over HTTP) using an ip address rather than the format server.company.com
?

Or is it just not possible ?

Thaks

Luke
