I don't think it's this at all.
I think it's MTU packets on that router.

I can connect, but am dropped within 30 seconds to a few minutes.
If I VPN into the server I remain connected via RDP for a few minutes, but then the VPN connection dumps.
I opened 3389 directly to the server and can establish and maintain an RDP connection without being dropped.
Based on what I've read, it sounds like the SP2 for sharepoint is suspected by others. It is not removable. What's the impact of removing and reinstalling just Sharepoint?
