Hello Jonas,and
Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.
I understand that after install the SP1, you cannot open the Monitoring
Reporting on the Server Management. If I have misunderstood your issue,it
please let me know.
In order to supplement your description, I need your help to gather the
following information:
1. What exact SP1 did you install, Windows Server 2003 SP1 or the SBS 2K3
SP1? Did you follow any instructions to install the SP1? If yes, please
list the web link so I will know whether your steps are correctly.
2. Did you successfully install the SP1 on your SBS Server? Did you meet
any error messages during the installation?
3. What is the exact error when you trying to open the Monitoring and
Reporting snap-in? I strongly suggest that you capture a screen shot for
and send it to my mailbox.to
4. Just to double confirm, can you access Backup snap-in? Besides this
issue, does your SBS Server work well?
5. Please help me to gather following log files for research:
a. %system drive%\program files\Microsoft Integration\windows small
business server 2003\logs. Please zip this folder into a file and send it
as attachment to my mailbox.
b. On the server, run "eventvwr" (without quotation marks), check whether
there are any errors. If yes, double click it, click the Copy button and
paste the full content to the Newsgroup.
6. For your reference:
If you met the exact same symptom described in the KB 842693, please apply
the steps and see how it goes:
