The CEICW should set this all up for you. When you say its not working at
what stage of connection attempt does it fail?

I'm no exchange/rpc expert but i have it working at my first attempt, in
properties of /rpc>Directory Security> "IP addresses and domain name
restrictions"...did you allow outside access ? I think this hung me up at
one
point, I dont remember. I'm sure some of the great techs here will chim
in.

Hi there
Yes, another one about it.
First the details:
- SBS 2003 Standard SP1
- Exchange 2003 SP2
Goal: get RPC over HTTP (or HTTPS, doesn't matter for our purpose)
working
Let me first state that there is a Support Call open at Microsoft,
which already has been escalated two times, and the third guy working
at this is obviously running out of ideas, too, since I'm waiting since
a week for another feedback.
We ran through everything, from every registry key mentioned in the
corresponding KB http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=833401 to each part
of the client configuration over to the certificates, recreated,
delete, created them again. Nothing helped. Nada.
I installed some test system again to compare, but I found nothing. The
only thing I noticed when sniffing the connection on the server is that
there are some packages saying [TCP segment of a reassembled PDU],
which I don't see on the test system.
There are no error messages, nothing in the eventlog, even with logging
on the Exchange enabled there are no errors. Nothing that states what
could be wrong. It's simply not working.
I really hope someone can shed some light on this. I'd be deeply
grateful.
Kind regards
André
