RE: CEICW KEEPS GIVING ERRORS

Hi John,

Thanks for your update.

I am sorry for incorrect information. For you have installed ISA 2004 on
the SBS server box, the default web site should listen on the internal IP
address of the server box (192.168.1.45). Please change it back.

When we re-install the ISA server, we need first export all the rules that
are configured manually with ISA 2004 import and export wizard. For detail
steps, please check the following article:

888715 Export, import, and backup functionality in Internet Security and
Acceleration Server 2004
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;888715

After re-install ISA 2004, please first run CEICW to configure network
connection and create related certificates for web server and ISA server.

Please let me know if you have any further question on the issue. I am
happy to be of assistance to you.

Have a nice day!

Sincerely,

Jenny Wu

Ms WU,
thank you for your assistance. I have tried what you suggested, the default
web site was running and listening on 192.168.1.45 I changed it to All
Unasigned, ran iisreset and then re-ran CEICW. I received the same errors
at the same place in configuration. I will re-install ISA 2004 this weekend
and see what happens. One questions about the re-install, will all the
listeners and certificates be removed and have to be re-done, as well as
and rules I have set up? Just wanted to know so I can plan for it if it
does. Again many thanks for your assistance. I will let you know via email
how the re-install goes.

Hi,

Thanks for your information.

1. Have you installed any sites under the Default Web site? If yes,
please
remove them from IIS management console and then re-run CEICW again, what
is the result?

2. If the issue persists, I would like to suggest you reinstall the ISA
2004 server, then re-run CEICW to test the issue.

Note: Please strictly follow the KB article 825763 to configure network
connection.

825763 How to configure Internet access in Windows Small Business Server
2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=825763

If the issue persists, please kindly help me collect some information to
isolate the issue:

1. What changes you made in network connection configurations? What is
your
network topology (two NICs, router)?
2. What is your SBS server version? Is it installed SBS 2003 SP1 or
upgraded from SBS 2003?
3. Please run command "IPconfig /all" (no quotation marks) to get IP
report
for me on the server box.

I appreciate your time!

Have a nice day!
