Win2k VPN Client doees work. Winxp Client does?

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I have a SBS server 2003. I am able to make a VPN Connection to it using the
built in pptp client in Windows XP. But when I configure a Win2k pro VPN
Connection with the exact same settings, it stops at verifying username.
What would cause this?
