Jenny,

Thanks for the suggestions...let me give you an update:

I tried to deinstall Exchange and ISA to free up the server for SPS.
For whatever reason, I am now unable to log into the server.
Soooooo...

...a colleague of mine lent me a server with Server 2003 SP1, SQL, and
WSS 2003. My configuration now looks like:

Cable Modem (dynamic IP)
Dynamic DNS setup at www.dyndns.org, software client updating IP
address from ISP
3 port router with port forwarding and LAN ip of 192.168.15.1
Server External NIC enabled; Internal NIC disabled (the 3 port router
chains to another router (4 port wireless) which handles the rest of
the pc's / laptops in the house).
Ports opened up (80, 443, 444, 3389, 4125)

STATUS AS OF 10pm CST last night (2/15/2006):
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Using domain name registered at dyndns.org, able to access and log into
(what I believe) was the default Sharepoint Site. I don't have a
screen shot but you've gotta believe me! :) Anyway, whichever site
it was, I was able to "design the page" and make a couple of changes,
refresh, and there they were. That was EOD.

STATUS AS OF 9:20am CST 2/16/2006

Physical Address: 00-40-05-0E-EB-75
IP Address: 192.168.15.25
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.15.1
DNS Server: 24.93.40.62
WINS Server:

Booted the server up and went to my dyndns site and boom, I get a 401
after trying to enter the same login/pwd I had used the day before
(Administrator acct).

WHAT CHANGED?

I shut the server down last night and rebooted it this morning; that's
it.

TROUBLESHOOTING THIS A.M.

I extended the default web site into the S2P Center Virtual Server
I checked on the active directory and all of the user accounts were
still there
I tried logging in as myself and as administrator.
I get the 401 message.

I have sent you a private email with multiple screen shots of among
things the router config, server status, login screen to Sharepoint
(picks up Windows authentication), active directory, services,
Sharepoint setup, and IIS.

I am at a loss for what could have caused this to stop working.

Any help / direction you could provide is GREATLY appreciated. In
other words, Help!!!

James
