When I delete the zones should I also delete the root hints and forwarders
which are not in the forward and reverse look up zones?

Crina,.
I deleted the newly created primary zone from the DNS console. I still have
the forwarder under the server name set up with the correct forwarders. My
root hints was already populated with addresses and IPs, so I did nothing
with it.
Also, I reran the CEICW. I got two red 'X's for the network connection and
firewall connection. It also requested DNS primary and secondary information.
I both left it blank and input the DNS settings from the ISP and both the
network and firewall connection still failed. Also, I lost my Remote Access
from a public IP address. What do you think happened :(

Hi Hans,
Thanks for your update.
As I know, you should have the following Forward zones on DNS console:
1. Open DNS console.
2. Expand server name| Forward Lookup Zones.
3. You should have domain name and _msdcs.domain name Zones.
Also please rerun CEICW to see how thing goes.
Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Crina Li (MSFT)

| Thanks so much for you reply. I had come down with the flu and have not
been
| able to respond until now.
| I already had two zones set up under the Forward Zones. I did create a
third
| primary in Forward Zones. Also, I don't understand why I need the
secondary
| and Stub zones, so I have done nothing with them. I input the DNS domains
| names along with their respective IP addresses per DNS name.
| DNS1.comcastbusiness.net with IP address XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
| DNS2.comcastbusiness.net with IP address XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
| The SBS Server's network cards are configured per your specifications for
| internal and external NIC.
| I originally set up the users and computers using the wizard and
| subsequently have never had a problem with this.
| Originally, I did install ISA Server, but uninstalled it. I would like to
| use it, but have heard horror stories.
