RE: OWA Icons and "loading" message

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi Jenny, and thank-you for responding. I reset the password and tested, but
no luck. I have checked the knowledge base article you mentioned, but I have
not applied the hotfix you referenced yet. I wanted you to visually see the
desktop before I try the hotfix to be sure that it isn't something else. I
have sent screen captures to you in a separate email. Any additional help is
appreciated.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for using the SBS newsgroup.

From your post, I understand that the icons do not display but only the
"Loading" messages when the users access mailbox via OWA on the Exchange
2003 box. If I am off base, please don't hesitate to let me know.

This kind of loading is usually complex as it has multiple causes. We may
need to spend some time on troubleshooting so as to get the root cause.
Your understanding is appreciated.

According to your description, I suggest you try the following steps:

I. Please Reset the IUSR_servername from IIS. You can refer to the
following steps to reset IUSR password to resolve problem.

1. Open Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in and select users
container.
2. Right-click IUSR_<servername> and click Reset Password.
3. Input a new password, confirm it and click OK.
4. Click Start, click Run, type "inetmgr" (without the quotation marks) and
click OK.
5. Expand Web Sites, right-click Default Web Site and click Properties.
6. On the Directory Security tab, click Edit in the Authentication and
access control section.
7. Enter the new password, click OK twice.
8. Restart Default Web Site and have a test.

II. If the issue persists, please check the following article to see if it
helps.

III. Have you applied hotfix 831464? If you are using IIS 5 (Windows 2000
server), please skip this step.

Download the hotfix via the following link:

Hope above information helps! I am happy to be of assistance of you and
look forward to your reply!

Have a nice day!

Sincerely,

I have two installations of SBS that are nearly identical. One, OWA works
perfect, and the other does not. I get some strange looking Icons, and
the
"loading" message just stays there.... All other parts of the remote
access
seem to work fine - it's just the owa portion. I have checked the
knowledge
base and can't find any issues with the settings - suggestions?
