Yes put it after current ISP router. The external NIC (assuming you're using
2 NICs) has the static IP you set in conjunction with the dual-wan router
LAN IP with proper port forwarding. The CEICW is happy with that.
Xincom makes dual-wan routers at a reasonable price. Linksys and Symantec
also have them.

Hi Steve...
So if the current ISP requires a router that you cannot touch/configure...
you'd put this dual-wan router after it?
And there's nothing special to do when setting up CEICW?
So when the main "pipe" ISP goes down, a dual-wan router just takes care
of
this?
Any recommendations on these?
Thanks - Dodge

SBS2003 Prem SP 1, running Exchange SP2. Currently on a commercial
level
cable connection. We'd like to have an additional ISP pipe in case the
primary ISP goes offline/down. Thinking of adding a DSL line, as it's
cost
effective and decent enough speed.
I know we can configure store and forward on emails. But what we'd
additionally like have is a fail over setup to switch to a different
ISP
if
primary goes down. So that internet access and email continues to work.
I
know we can add a different "cost routing" in the MX records setup so a
failure of the primary ISP would route email traffic to the
backup/failover
ISP... how does one configure SBS2003 to handle this type of setup, if
possible to setup an auto repsonding fail over for this? TIA- Dodge
