I can't use automatic configuration for my TCP/IP Settings. Everytime
I do, the Local Area Network has Limited or No Connectivity. Why???
I used to be able to use auto config. Then I hooked up a new computer
to the network, when I started it up, it has DHCP MAC Address/ I
don't know how to get it back to the way it was. Can anybody help me??
If I have it automatically configured and run IPConfig /all
For the Local Area Connection
Autoconfiguration IP address is 169.254.57.237
subnet mask is 255.255.0.0
IP Address is fe80::211:9ff:fed6:1ef3%4
default gateway 192.168.0.100
And then below that it has "Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling
Pseudo-Interface: IP Address is fe80::5445:5245:444f%5
What kind of IP Address is that, and how can I fix it???
1. Uninstall whatever TCP/IP 6 stuff you may have installed.
2. You should be using DHCP (or statics) - *not* APIPA / autoconfigured
addresses.
Are you using SBS? This is a group for MS Small Business Server 2003....
your setup isn't clear from your post.
