Hi Tom,
Thanks for your update.
For the RWW issue, do you mean you want to do as following?
1. Open RWW web site and then click Connect to Server desktop or client
desktop.
2. You want to know if a Description of computers can be displayed in the
Computers list.
If so, as I know, RWW has no such feature. If you add the description to a
computer on AD, it can not be displayed in the computer selection page of
RWW.
For the firewall exception issue, do you mean you have configured windows
firewall on client computers as following?
1. Run gpedit.msc on client computer.
2. Expand Computer configuration>Administrative templates>Network>Network
connections> Windows Firewall> Domain Profile.
3. Double click "Windows Firewall: Allow Remote Desktop Exception" to
enable it in right pane.
If so, you should be able to configure the exception for Remote Desktop to
a LAN scope. In fact, it is not necessary to configure the exception on
windows firewall because ISA will perform security control.
Hope it helps and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Crina Li (MSFT)

| Thank you very much. What about changing the XP firewalls' exception
(GPO)
| for Remote Desktop to a local scope? Is that recommended?
