Hi Tom,
Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup.
From the description, I understand the issue to be: The backup wizard willfail when you choose a Tape Changer on SBS. If I have misunderstood your
concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.
As I know, when using SBS Backup Wizard, you will be prompted to choose a
Tape Changer. This person is selected to be responsible for changing the
backup tapes and cleaning the drive. This person will receive a calendar
request for the day(s) that backup is scheduled to run.
To troubleshoot this issue, I would like to suggest followings and collect
more information.
1. Does the situation occur when you specify the domain admin as the tape
changer on Backup wizard?
2. Please create a new test user using Add Users wizard and specify the new
user as tape changer on Backup wizard, can the situation occur?
3. Is the tape device listed as Compatible Device with Windows Server 2003
system? There is compatibility issue that the device cannot be correctly
recognized by the system. Please check if the backup device is in the HCL
list:

ardwarehome
If the issue still occurs, please try the following to see how thing goes:
1. Rename hklm\software\microsoft\smallbusinessserver\backup and Program
Files\Microsoft Small Business Server\Backup.
2. Run SBS integrated setup.
3. Select Reinstall next to Server Tools. Select None next to Intranet,
Monitoring, Networking, Administration, and Client Deployment.
4. Reboot when prompted.
I am appreciated your time and look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Crina Li (MSFT)

| I have found on my SBS 2003 Server that when using the Backup
Configuration
| Wizard, if I set a Tape Changer (meaning a user who will get reminded
with
| e-mail) that the Backup Settings fails with an error:
| An unexpected error occurred (80070490). Element Noty Found.
| If I leave the Tape Change blank it works!!
| I think this is a way cool feature (although far from essential).
