RE: Internet Connection Wizard failing at Firewall Config and Secu

Hi Gyro,

Thanks for your update.

From the error messages, let us firstly solve the DNS issue.

1. You can use the Dcdiag.exe (Domain Controller Diagnostic Tool) included
in Windows Support Tools to verify the AD status. (To install the Windows
Support Tools, right-click Suptools.msi in the Support\Tools folder on the
SBS CD #2, and then click Install. Follow the steps in the Windows Support
Tools Setup Wizard to complete the installation of the Windows Support
Tools.)

You can also refer to the "Verifying Active Directory Functionality"
section for more information:

Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Diagnostics, Troubleshooting and
Recovery
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/community/events/windows2003srv/tnt1-80.msp
x

2. The issue may occur if the DNS zone information is corrupted. Please
follow the steps below and see if the events are still recorded:

A. Open Active Directory Users and Computers, click View, Advanced.
B. Expand domain.local -> System -> MicrosoftDNS and delete domain.local.
C. Open the DNS console, expand Forward Lookup Zones.
D. Click _msdcs.domain.local and delete the Alias for
sbsserver.domain.local (the long GUID entry).

NOTE: If the _msdcs folder is missing under domain.local, please create a
new delegation: Right-click domain.local, select new, then delegation,
click next on the wizard, under delegated domain, type in _msdcs and click
next, click Add and browse to the server''s A record under Forward Lookup
Zones, domain.local, click OK and Finish.

E. Stop and Restart Netlogon service.
F. Run "ipconfig /registerdns"

Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
