Losing Stored Internet Passwords w/connectcomputer

This is my first SBS install, so please forgive me if I've missed something
basic here... I installed SBS 2K3 Premium on a new server. Everything went
fairly smoothly. I created users & computers, added a printer, etc. No
trouble. Then came the client PCs. I though it'd be prudent to do my own
first. Thank goodness for that.
//server/connectcomputer worked fine after I deleted some temp folder that
had marked itself as private. Outlook 2K3 was installed and successfully
brought over all of my mail, contacts and calendar from Outlook 2K3. My
desktop settings made it, too. My IE Favorites made it, but my stored
internet IDs & Passwords didn't. I didn't notice this at first, primarily
because I use Firefox 99% of the time and only use IE when a website seems
to require it.
So I proceed with client PC #2. This user isn't too dependent on their PC,
so if something goes wrong, it's not too big of a deal. Well, this time the
Desktop Settings & IE Favorites made the trip but again the stored IDs &
passwords didn't. Not cool--since this user uses IE exclusively and logs on
to a half-dozen sites every day. Yes, we have the IDs & Passwords written
down *somewhere* around here but really, it is too much to ask for this data
to be transferred to the new profile?
Now it's time for PC #3. This one is a disaster. IE Favorites don't make
it. I was able to log off, log on the the local PC, export favorites, log
off, log on to the domain and import favorites. Not the end of the world,
but certainly not very efficient. Desktop settings don't make it, either.
Now I'm finding applications and creating shortcuts on the Quick Launch
Toolbar and Desktop. Again, a nuisance and a waste of time but not a deal
breaker. And of course, the stored IDs & Passwords are gone. Again, this
user logs on to multiple websites daily and is now rooting through their
rolodex for IDs & Passwords.
I still have lots of PCs to connect. One, for example, is the owners laptop
and another is the corporate CFO. The CFO logs on to state websites to
report payroll taxes, etc. These are not patient people.
Losing the stored IDs & Passwords for everyone in the company is bad Bad
BAD.
Two questions: is there a way to transfer the stored IDs & Passwords? If
not, is there a way--manually, using the existing local profile--to join the
domain and accomplish whatever else /connectcomputer does?
I'd really appreciate any advice you might offer.
Tom
