DCOM error in system log
Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance
I have an error in the system event log which says:
The application-specific permission settings do not agrant Local Launch
permission for the COM server application with CLSID
{xxxxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx} to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID
(S-1-x-xx). This security permission can be modified using the
Component Services administration tool.
On further investigation using the dcomcfg tool I discovered that that
the CLSID number represents MSEXCHANGEIS.
Does anyone know what is causing this and do I just add SYSTEM to the
groups or usenames in security settings for that dcom app and give it
local launch permissions?
.
