RE: Website Not loading

Hi Ash,

Thanks for your update.

Could you please let me know if the xyz.com is your public FQDN?

Is the web site: http://xyz.com is your default web site? Do you have your
own web site? Have you customized the default web site?

When you run CEICW wizard, what you input as the web server certificate?
And also please ensure you have published the Companyweb to internet. The
related port is 444, have you opened it on firewall and any hardware
firewall or router outside the network?

It is recommended you take a look at the following KB article to get detail
steps to configure network connection:

825763 How to configure Internet access in Windows Small Business Server
2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=825763

After we published the Comapnyweb site to internet, we should access the
website using the URL: https://xyz.com:444 . Please try to test the issue
again, what is the result?

If the issue persists, please check the following article to see if it
helps:

823379 "Server Error in ''/'' Application. Access to the Path <Path> Is
Denied"
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=823379

If the issue persists, please let me know if you have installed ISA on the
server box. If yes, please help me gather the ISA Web Proxy and Firewall
service logs when reproducing the problem:

For ISA 2004:

Enable the full Web Proxy/firewall logging option:

a. Open ISA 2004 management console.
b. Expand the server node and highlight ''Monitoring''.
c. In the right pane, switch to the ''Logging'' tab, make sure the ''Task
Pane'' is showed there.
d. In the ''Task Pane'', click ''Configure Web Proxy Logging'' under
''Logging Tasks'', and then switch the ''log storage format'' from ''MSDE
database'' (default) to ''File''.
e. Switch to the ''Fields'' tab, and then click ''Select All''.
f. Click OK, and then click ''Apply'' to save changes and update the
configuration.
g. Click ''Configure Firewall Logging''. Do step d~f to enable the full
logging options for firewall logging.

Prepare to take the trace:
a. Temporarily stop the Firewall service to clear the current existing W3C
logs: Monitoring->Services tab, and then right click ''Microsoft Firewall''
to choose ''Stop''.
b. Go to the log saving directory and clean any existing .W3C logs. By
default, the logs will be saved to ''C:\Program Files\Microsoft ISA
Server\ISALogs''. (Some MDF may not be able to deleted, that''s normal.)
c. Go back to the ISA 2004 management console, and then Start the stopped
''Microsoft Firewall'' service.

Reproduce the problem:
a. Go to the external client computer. Try to access the RWW web site.
b. Go back to the ISA server. Stop the ''Microsoft Firewall'' service. Open
Windows Explorer, navigate to the ISA log file folder. Collect the recent
w3c files. Save them to a zip package as ''isalogs.zip''. Start the
''Microsoft Firewall'' Service.
c. Send the zip packages to me at v-yanniw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

For ISA 200:

Enable all the ISA logging options

a. In ISA Management console ' navigate to 'Servers and Arrays' '
'Monitoring Configuration' ' Logs, double click 'ISA Server Firewall
service' and switch to the 'Fields' tab, and then click 'Select All'.

b. Do the same thing (enable all the log options) to 'ISA Server Web Proxy
Service'.

c. Do the same thing (enable all the log options) to 'Packet Filters'.

Clean Up the existing logs

a. Stop all the ISA services which includes 'MS Web Proxy', 'MS Firewall'
and 'MS Scheduled Cache Content Download'.

b. Delete all the log files in 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft ISA
Server\ISALogs'.

c. Restart the services: 'MS Web Proxy', 'MS Firewall' and 'MS Scheduled
Cache Content Download'.

Reproduce the problem on one remote XP client, and then compress and send
all new generated logs to me at (C:\Program Files\Microsoft ISA
Server\ISALogs). Please also note the XP client IP.

I appreciate your time! I am happy to be assistance of you.

Have a nice day!

Sincerely,

Jenny Wu

Hello Jenny

I dont think i explained the issue correctly to you.
I should tell you that, i can access the companyweb page internally,
however, i have also setup their own website as well so basically

http://companyweb works (internally)

http://xyz.com fails (internally)
it returns that server application error that i displayed last time

Server Error in '/' Application.

https://<wan address of OU> fails (enternally and internally)
it returns a similar sever application error that i posted above

https://<wan address of OU>/remote or exchange (externally and internally)
works

What do you think could be causing this ?

I hope that clears it up for you

Your help is greatly appericated.

Thanks for using the SBS newsgroup.

From your description, I understand the issue to be: you received Server

7. Make sure that "Granted access" has been selected.
8. Click Edit under "Secure communications".
9. Make sure that "Require secure channel (SSL)" has not been checked.

For RWW:

1. Open IIS snap-in.
2. Go to Default Web Site/Remote.
3. Right click Remote and click Properties.
4. Click Directory Security tab.
5. Click Edit under "Authentication and access control".
6. Make sure that only the "Enable anonymous access" and "Integrated
Windows Authentication" have been checked.
7. Click Edit under "IP address and domain name restriction".
8. Make sure that "Granted access" has been selected.
9. Click Edit under "Secure communications".
10. Make sure that "Require secure channel (SSL)" and "Require 128-bit
encryption" have been checked.

For RWW, please also check the following settings:

1. Open ADU&C.
2. Go to Domain.local/MyBusiness/Users/SBSUsers.
3. In the right pane, right click the problematic user and click
Properties.
4. Click Member Of tab.
5. Make sure that the "Remote Web Workplace Users" group is in the list.

If the settings are not configured as above, try to change it and then
restart IIS to test, how is the result? Please check the issue on the
server box using URL: http://companyweb, what is the result?

Hope above information helps! I am happy to be of assistance to you and

Hi guys

Firstly I need to say thank you to Charles Yang! You helped me through
alot
and I just want to say thank you.

My issue is the following

With SBS 2003, you can setup IIS to host your own website or even just
use
the intarnet feature, however i have an issue with this.

When trying to access my companys website (lets call it xyz.com) and my
intranet of simpily companyweb.

When I got to access my company page - https or http://xyz.com/ i get
the
following error:

Server Error in '/' Application.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----

Parser Error
Description: An error occurred during the parsing of a resource

When i try https:// or http://xyz.com/remote or exchange (for OWA) it
goes
straight to that page.

When i try internally to access my website - http://xyz.com i get the
same
message

Anyone have any ideas?

It would be greatly appericated.

Thank you
