Please find attached the log files as request. I have followed the steps
you posted to the news group but no joy. I have attached the log files for
your use.

There is an account setup user name test password test

The sever is exchange.netinst.co.uk is you which to run a test against it.

The only thin I cant find from you instructions was: -

1. Open Exchange System Manager, locate Global Settings -> Mobile
Services,
right click it to open its Properties page.
2. Under General tab, ensure all checkboxes have been checked.
3. Click Device Security button, please ensure the option "Enforce
Password
on device" is Unchecked.
4. Under Security tab, please ensure all permissions have been set properly.

Thanks for using the SBS newsgroup.

From your description, I understand the issue to be: mobile 5.0 devices
can
not synchronize with Exchange server and received error code is 85010014.
If I am off base, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Based on my research, the error message may be like this: "Your Account in
Microsoft Exchange Server does not have permission to synchronize with
your
current settings. Contact your Exchange Server administrator support code:
0x85010004".

Please refer to below steps to check mobile settings:

1. Open Exchange System Manager, locate Global Settings -> Mobile
Services,
right click it to open its Properties page.
2. Under General tab, ensure all checkboxes have been checked.
3. Click Device Security button, please ensure the option "Enforce
Password
on device" is Unchecked.
4. Under Security tab, please ensure all permissions have been set
properly.

After verifying above settings and restart the IIS server, please try to
test the issue, what is the result?

If the issue persist, please create a new user account with add user
wizard
(server management console -> users -> add a user) and test the issue,
what
is the result?

If the issue persists, please help me collect the following information
for
analyze:

Note: Once the logging has been enabled, can you activesync the device a
couple of time, and then send us the PocketPC device logs, Desktop
Activesync logs, IIS logs.

1) Enable device logging on the PocketPC

PocketPC Device logging
1. On your PocketPC Device, Click on Start
2. Select ActiveSync
3. Then click on the Tools menu and selection Options
4. Click on the Server Tab
5. Click the Options¡­ button
6. If you are using a PocketPC 2003 device, click on the Rules Tab and set
Logging to Verbose
7. If you are using a PocketPC 2000 device, click on the Connection Tab
and
set Logging to Verbose

Device ActiveSync Log Files
1. Once the testing has finished, cradle your device and let it sync.
2. In Microsoft ActiveSync, click on Explore
3. Then My Pocket PC
4. The ActiveSync Folder
5. Can you please send the following:
a. Error*.htm
b. ServerLog0.txt
c. SyncLog.txt

Desktop ActiveSync Log Files
1. Open Windows Explorer
2. In the Address Bar enter %temp%
3. Can you please send me the following:
a. WCESCOMM.LOG
b. wcesetup.log
c. wcesmgr.log
d. WcesView.log
e. wecerr.txt

2) Enable full IIS logging

IIS Logs
1. Start up Internet Information Services Manager
2. Navigate to the Default Web Site
3. Right Click properties
4. Make sure "Enable Logging" is checked
5. Make sure the Active log format is W3C Extended Log File Format
6. Click on the Properties button
7. On the Advanced Tab make sure everything is checked
8. Click OK and Apply as many times as you need to exit IIS Manager
9. To view the logfiles, Click on Start, Run and type in LOGFILES and
press
return
10. Locate W3SVC1 and the log file is the day's date stamp

Please compress those files to a zip file and mail it to my working
mailbox: v-yanniw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi

We are having probelm syncing our PDA's (smartphone) with our SBS 2003
exchanger server) they are windows mobile 5 devices and SBS SP1 and
Exchange
SP2 are installed. We get the error when useing active sync with a server
setup or when directly syncing with the server via UTMs or 802.11b

We have no problems accesing the http://servername/oma from in the office
or
remotley.

The devices also sync perfictly with just outlook with no errors. Have
tried reinstall outlook and activesync.

any suggestion would be very well recived.
