What a/v are you running?
I have not had to do an exclusion like this.

Thanks, Chris. I added a DEP exception..
But the question remains: Why should I make such an exception or turn down DEP for a Microsoft application? I would think that store.exe qualifies as an "essential service".
And why did I only find out about this by logging in to the SBS admin console?
Security is based on trust...

Try one of the following options:
A. Add store.exe to the list of exceptions for DEP:
1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. In the Performance section, click Settings. The Performance Options
dialog box appears.
4. Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.
5. Click Add to add store.exe to the list of exceptions.
6. Locate the store.exe file. Typically, this file is in the following
folder:
C:\Program files\exchsrvr\bin
7. Click OK to add this file to the list of exceptions.
B. Turn down DEP:
1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. In the Performance section, click Settings. The Performance Options
dialog box appears.
4. Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.
5. Select the radio button: "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and
services only".
