Can I ask what motivates you to use Yosemite? What do you see as the
advantage over SBSBackup?

I have a clean install of SBS2003 Premium Installed and partly
configured. I installed Yosemite Backup Standard 8.1 (Dell SBS Suite)
that had SQL and Exchange agents included. There are files being
skipped that I haven't seen before (this is the first 2003 or SBS
server I've setup). I think the agents are backing up the data that are
in some of these files, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have any
experience with the software that can give assistance, or in general
backup terms with the files that are being skipped due to being busy/in
use, etc... The log is below:

Under tha Activity section- I think this is where the Agents are
backing up the data for SQL and Exchange. Under the Object section is
where the specific files are dealt with. I see in the Activity section
there are multiple items for Network\SERVER\Microsoft SQL
Server\Sharepoint than include \master, \model, \msdb, \STS_Config, &
\STS_Server_1. However in the last part of the Objects section I see
that under Network\SERVER\File Systems\D:\Server Application
Data\Intranet and Monitoring\MSDE\MSSQL$SHAREPOINT\Data that there are
files for master, model, msdbdata, STS_Config, STS_Server_1, and
tempdb. Are these one in the same, or different? One differnce I see is
one has msdb, the other has msdbdata. One does not have tempdb and the
other does.
The Activity section has a section that appears to be backups uf the
SBSMonitoring database, two items for Exchange, and the Yosemite Backup
Catalog. Are the items for these good for a safe, complete backup of
the Exchange server?
Beyond the above mentioned items, are there any of the other items
in the Object section that I should be concerned about that are not
being backed up? Like the items under the Exchange folder, the items
under Windows\System32\dhcp - specifically dhcp.mdb, the xml files
under Windows\system32\inetsrv, or the items under the Sharepoint
folder.
Should I exlude these files from the backup so there are not
irrelevant errors recorded in the backup log? I want to make this as
clean as possible for the users that will be reviewing these logs, but
I don't want to inadvertantly cause an agent to not backup the data or
cause something the not work after a restore. I just haven't seen these
files show as busy in previous installs with 2000 server/2000 Pro/ XP
Pro, etc...
Thank you in advance for your assistance and advice.
