Hi

The parallel was for a crashed server to get the data off of it. Since you
have a working server that would not be necessary. Another great benefit
of a working server is that there would not be a need to have the clients
leave the old domain and everything else i referred to in the previous post.

Since you have a working server and you are going to migrate to a new
working server there is a document that addresses what you are trying to
accomplish.

Here it is and good luck

How to install Small Business Server 2003 in an existing Active Directory
domain

| Thanks James. I reloaded the old server and managed to get it going
| (Exchange and Documents) but Sharepont seems to be having trouble. It
seems
| to be related to credentials and certificates when I re installed. Also
| Terminal services is not working.
| I am going to upgrade the server soon, but now there is not such a
panic.
| I would like the users experience to be transparentwhen I do the new
server.
| How do I keep their favorites, Desktop etc unscathed, becuse when you
exit
| the domain and rejoin you lose all that. Is that what the file and
settings
| transfer fixes?
|
| Excuse my ignorance, but what is a parallel install?
|
| Thanks
