Re: Nagging Autorization issue for Companyweb after ISA04 install
Hi Chip,
Thank you for your update! I am Cliff, the owner of this newsgroup and I am Crina's backup during her leave.
Regarding this issue, I would suggest we perform the following steps:
A. At the server side, let's check the IIS settings:
1. Open the Internet Information Services management console (inetmgr.exe).
2. Right click the companyweb site and choose Properties.
3. Click the Directory Security tab and click the Edit button in the Authentication and access console section.
4. Make sure only the "Intergrated Windows authentication" item is selected.
5. Click OK. Then click Start->Run, type iisreset and click OK.
B. At the client side, let's check the IE settings:
1. Log on a client computer with the user's account.
2. Launch Internet Explorer and click Tools->Internet Options.
3. Click the Security tab.
4. In the list box, highlight the "Internet" icon and click the "Custom Level" button.
5. In the Security Settings dialog box, scroll down to the buttom. You should see the User Authentication\Logon entry. Make sure "Automatic logon only in intranet zone" is
selected and then click OK.
6. Highlight the "Local intranet" icon and click the Sites button. Make sure all three boxes are checked. If the "Default Level" button is not dimmed, click it.
7. Click OK and check if the issue disappears.
Thank you for your time!
Sincerely,
Cliff Zhang
