Re: DHCP server and netgear router problems

OK, the first issue I want to deal with is the Netgear router problem. I have
a static Ip address provided by our ISP but it seems to be more of a problem
with SBS (premium) reverting to the old router settings even when it isnt
connected...
The Netgear DG834GT works as BOTH the ADSL modem and router (that should
simplify things surely..?) .
I guess the main issue is why SBS refuses to connect to the IP 192.168.0.1
when the modem/router is connected directly.
Removing all the settings for the old hardware, telling the system the new
router IP and running the inbuilt wizards designed to help set up the network
and connection seem to have no effect. I have made sure there is no 3rd party
software blocking the IP/ports so I am at a loss as to why it still refuses
to open in the browser.
These routers/modems have never been a problem for us before and as I said
we currently use them on remote client machines without any problem.
Any other problems can wait until this is resolved for now.
