Thanks for using the SBS newsgroup. Also thanks for John and u101440's
input.
>From your description, I understand the issue to be: the Administrator
password is forgotten for the SBS 2003 server box. For the SBS server box
is a DC, the administrator passwords are saved in AD database, we have not
methods to retrieve the administrator password except reinstall the OS.
Please double check if there is any administrator account for the server
box. If not, you need to reinstall it. In this scenario, you just can
remote backup the shared folders in the main partition on the box. If you
do want to backup other files and folders in the main partition, you can
install a parallel operating system on a different partition on the same
computer, such as XP so that you can backup those important data in the SBS
2003 OS.
