RE: Win 2K and Win XP connections via VPN - grr....!!

Hello Ben,

Thank you for posting back!

Thanks a lot for your detail reply!

Since you cannot ping the SBS Server by name, but can ping by IP address,
this should be the DNS issue. In your reply, the ipconfig /all result from
the problematic client workstation is not complete, I suggest that after
you VPN into domain, open a command window, type "ipconfig /all" (without
quotation marks).

==============

For your suggestion:

In the ipconfig /all result from the good Windows 2K workstation, we can
see the DNS Servers IP address is 192.168.1.60 under "PPP adapter VPN to
LBA". So please make sure the DNS Server IP on the problematic Windows XP
workstation is same as the DNS Servers IP address on the SBS Server.

Please see:

309633 How to Configure a SBS for Full Time Internet Access with a Single
Network Adapter

Please take your time to perform the steps. If you have any updates, please
feel free to let me know. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,

Brandy Nee
