Re: IP Config with 2 NICs Wizard dont work, Static dont work!

thanks for quick post! Ive been at this 48hrs

Yes the diagram is correct and im configured nearly the same apart from my
SBS internal-nic has gateway of ip to the internal router (im upgrading to
SBS so all clients currently connect & gateway through the "internal router"
which has it OWN adsl connect).

I will clear the SBS "internal" NIC gateway "field"

I can see why your confused with me having 2 adsl routers, but its so I can
send you this post!!!

Ive not yet added the clients (inc this pc) to the SBS AD. Interestingly i
can ping the SBS by name and IP but not the other way round, why is this?

Let me try the removal of gateway IP field on the internal nic and get a
copy of the ipconfig.

Quick Q regarding the diagram, both the internal and external NIC ip dns
"fields" state: IP address of the server...... Which server? currently these
are as the sbs-wizard asked for pointed at my ISPs DNS IPs....... If I use
my ISPs DNS IPs in the SBS external nic, should I then just have a loopback
on the internal nic 127.0.0.1??.... Or setup DNS properly in admin tools
with foward lookups etc??

back in a mo
