Are you using SBS2003? That's what this newsgroup is for....

Have you tried installing the adminpak.msi on your WinXP Pro / 2k
workstation so you can manage your server remotely?
Have you looked at the event logs? (if you go to task manager, run.... and
type eventvwr ...
