As I understand it ISA is a stateful firewall which can act against the host
header part of the packet and delegate it to defined IP addresses, as I can
make out that wont be the part which facilitates having a web server most
multiple sites but would be a method of starting a farm of servers each
hosting a site?
My prior understanding was by having DNS records locally for the respective
sites this would give sharepoint the plumbing to resolve the requests to each
of the sites.
Sorry if I’m way off I’m using the MCSA/MCSE books to try and understand how
everything comes together but like I said even with those and the technet
articles things are still hazy if not impossible to fully understand - you
can have your sharepoint sites public is this then how it would work? Only
with security concerns
Thanks again, Matt
