Barry,
You concern about removing the c:\program files\microsoft sql server
directory is valid.. I'm assuming she meant the c:\program files\microsoft
sql server\mssql$msfw directory only. Please do no remove the c:\program
files\microsoft sql server directory itself. By default, other directories
would be below it such as the mssql$sharepoint, mssql$sbsmonitoring
directories for the SharePoint and SBSMonitoring instances.
Course, before making these kinds of changes I'd suggest doing a backup
first.. just in case.. better to have it and not need it than need it and
not have it.
