HI,
Thanks for updates.
>From your description, it seems you want to know how to block spam emails,
according to my research, none of the Exchange filter will be apply to SBS
server for POP3 spam emails, we can only block the after the emails arrive
on the Exchange server, here I would like to give you some suggestion on
how to block spam emails on Exchange server side:
If you just want to block the email from special senders, you can refer to
my suggestions below to check it:
1. Please check SMTP virtual server, right click it to choose properties.
2. In the access tab, then choose connection control, add the domain you
want to allow to access the SMTP virtual server
3. Please also check the properties of Message Deliver, you can also set
the rules there. ( You can check the message deliver properties by Opening
Exchange System Management->Global setting->Message deliver.)
We also have a good anti-spam free software called IMF, please refer the
information below:
Microsoft Exchange Intelligent Message Filter Deployment Guide
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/exchange/2003/library/imfdeploy
mspx
If you installed ISA on your SBS 2003, I suggest you check if you have set
some restrictions on ISA SMTP filtering rules:

Thanks for your efforts in this issue, if you have any further concern,
please feel free to post back. I am glad to be of assistance.
Best regards,

| Hi,
|
| Actually I can't use SMTP or MX record things because this is a branch
| office and in the ISP side they have a global POP3 account. SO branch can
| only retrieve mails relevant to users in that office. The client is
having a
| static IP for the server. 'm using the built in POP3 connector in the SBS
| server. If I can find a way to fitter that incoming mails to that
connector
| it will save lot of their time rather than reading or deleting spam
e-mails.
| I can advise them to use the spam filter in the Outlook but I'm looking
one
| step ahead method and do it in the server side before reaching the
clients
| machines.
|
| Thanks everyone for all of your support. I really appreciate if someone
can
| give ma solution for this matter.
