Hi Charles,
Thanks for the reply. I think I've managed to fix it on my own, but
theres no easy way for me to test, as the server has to be configured to
send all email straight out to another SMTP server.
I was however able to now hook up Outlook Express via IMAP, access the
account via the SBS www interface, send an email from
administrator@xxxxxxxxxxxx to administrator@xxxxxxxxxxx - and receive it.
One thing I don't quite understand. OE IMAP only shows the one test
email in the Inbox, but the SBS Mailbox Store -> Mailboxes shows the
account has 5KB and 6 "total items" in the mailbox. What would the
other 5 items be?
I'm concerned as there is also an account in the Mailbox Store called
"SystemMailbox {08900AC6-4778.....}" that has over 400 "Items" in it,
but I don't know how to access it to see what they are.
I didn't delete the actual Administrator account, just the mailbox.
Regards the KB, I think that changes the local Administrator for the
clients, not the domain-level default Admin (I think), which isn't what
I want to achieve. Domain Controllers don't have "local" Administrator
accounts do they ?, everything is based off of domain accounts ? So I'm
not quite sure what happens to sharepoint and the monitoring tools.
Thanks for the help though.
