Sarah,
I recommend complete your install of SBS Sp1. Stopping at Windows Server SP1
leaves lots of broken wizards etc.
Most likely your VPN is broken because of a known issue with SP1 regarding a
change it made to TCP/IP. Take a look at www.smallbizserver.net and you will
see on the drop down menus a whole section on SP1 that includes details of a
hotfix to solve the TCP/IP problem that is trashing your VPN.
