Re: User CALs

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

This gets more interesting.
The equipment devices are commonly used by the same User. i.e. there
are approximately 6-8 testing devices [driven by windows operated
computers] that would be used during the day by 1 or 2 users maximum.
These devices ideally need to remain logged onto the domain for the
whole day.
Some of these devices may never be use during that period, so it is
possible [but not ideal] that the single user, could log off one device
and log onto the next device as it is needed. But preferably the device
needs to be logged onto the domain for the full course of the day.
This is why I thought it is practical that all these devices be logged
onto with the same user account.
Practically if I licensed by the total number of users I have overall
it would be between 10-15 and if had to licence by the total number of
devices that could potentially be used during the day it would probably
be double this amount.
