Hello Bob,
Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.
>From your description, I understand that you cannot remotely access
Companyweb through RWW, but it works correctly in LAN. If I have
misunderstood your issue, please let me know.
Based on my experience, this issue can be caused by various factors. So
please help to gather following information for further research:
1. Can you access https://companyweb from SBS Server Console?
2. Can you access Companyweb directly from the Internet
(http://<SBS_Public_Domain_Name>:444)?
3. What is the error message when you fail to access Companyweb? Please go
to the remote computer, open IE -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced ->
Uncheck the box "Show friendly HTTP error messages". Reproduce the issue,
what is the error message now? I suggest that you capture a screen shot and
send it to the Newsgroup.
4. Can you access OWA remotely?
5. When did the issue occur? Could you access Companyweb through RWW
before? Did you make any changes on SBS, recently?
6. Does this issue occur to all remote clients or only certain clients?
7. Do you have an ISA Server installed in front of the SBS Server?
For your suggestions:
a. If the issue occurs to all remote clients, please rerun the Configure
E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard to enable external access to
Companyweb.
i. Expand to Server Management\Standard Management\Internet and E-mail.
ii. On the right pane, click Connect to the Internet, and run "Configure
E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard".
iii. Proceed to the page of "Web Services Configuration", make sure that
you have checked "Business Web Site (wwwroot)".
iv. Finish rest of the wizard.

b. If there is one router or any hardware firewall locates in front of the
SBS Server, please make sure that you have forwarded TCP port 444 to the
SBS servers'' external NIC from the hardware firewall.
c. Register your Companyweb's name on the Internet DNS. This is generally
done by the ISP. This name should be resolved as the firewall's external IP
address.
Please take your time to perform the steps above and collect the
information for us to troubleshoot your issue. I am looking forward to
hearing from you!
Best regards,
Brandy Nee
